The future of Willie Green as head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans is uncertain as they head into the offseason. If Green and the Pelicans part ways, he could become a candidate to become the next head coach of the Phoenix Suns.
Green was an assistant with the Suns under Monty Williams before he was hired as head coach of the Pelicans. Green has relationships with Devin Booker and Mat Ishbia.
The Suns have been widely expected to fire Mike Budenholzer after their disappointing 24-25 season.
Chauncey Billups was also considered another possible candidate for the job, but he signed a multi-year extension with the Portland Trail Blazers last week.
