Praying for him not to be a full achilleas tear, cause that would be career-ending for him.

That sucks big time, tbh if the injury is that serious Milwaukee needs to ship Giannis and go full tank mode.

Lillard will miss the next season and be a shadow of his former self…

Giannis would have been such a nice target for Dallas trading Lively III, fillers and all picks they own for the greek freak.
Unfortunately one snake idiot traded Luka away

Severely doubt Milwaukee would be interested in anything Dallas had. And I think a lot of their picks are tied up in swaps, including one with OKC, who along with Houston have the players and picks that Milwaukee would want for Giannis. If anything a straight swap for Luka would have been more sensible, Lively as a centrepiece for a superstar trade is fairly ridiculous. Bucks fans would riot just like Dallas if that trade went through.

Knicks need to agree to a trade in principle for Giannis right now.

Maybe... but I just wanted to see Luka team up with fellow european Giannis
They are such a great fit

You’re probably right, but we thought the same thing about him and Dame, though.

For real? Nobody thought nothing positive about their fit.

Lillard is a traffic cone on defense

So is Luka, lol. We are literally witnessing it right now in the Minnesota series - they are absolutely kicking the dogsh*t out of him on defense. Hunting him and Reaves all day every day.

On a different topic - even with Dame fully healthy, Bucks had to completely blow it up this offseason. Even with Dame, the roster is pathetic. Now it's just a no brainer. But they have one of the worst FOs and the incompetent Horst was just given a huge extension, so I expect them to be a dumpster fire tier for quite some time.

A suspected injury like this could be career ending. In the event that he recovers after surgery and a lengthy recovery, he will not be the same player. This accelerates Lillard into the twilight of his career and most likely is the final piece that pushes Giannis to ask "out."

This.

Even if it's a 3-team trade where the return superstar is going to someone with better picks, there a plenty of max guys who would be available for Giannis

Jaylen Brown, Trae Young, KAT, Morant, Zion

Or a package of assets that includes one of the slightly cheaper guys like Ingram, LaMelo, Sabonis etc

Fox also hasn't been extended yet if Bucks wanted to get off Dame and Giannis money (Bucks have been trying to get under the luxury tax)

I'm sure lillard was pushing to get back because that's just what players do, but this is a pretty big black eye for the Bucks staff. You let a guy rush back from blood clots which is suspect to begin with. Then you let him into games when he clearly was not back in game shape and he gets a potentially career ending injury. No ramp up. No minutes restriction. Just toss him out there in a desperate attempt to not get swept in the first round? Nobody is going to blame Giannis when he eventually demands out.

DAL had nowhere near enough to get Giannis without trading Luka. Not a snowballs chance.

Ummm... so is Luka.

Lots of people thought highly of that trade. (I didn't, but I know people did because they were debating it with me at the time. ) Remember that Dame had Giannis and a younger Lopez behind him. And many people expected Middleton to return to form. The team just got old all at the same time.

I still find it funny that Horst won exec of the year over Masai in 2019. They won like three more games than the Raptors, then got knocked out by the Raptors… who added three all-defense players in Kawhi, Green and Gasol in one season, while getting contributions from former G-Leaguers.

They should have moved Middleton for Dame instead of Jrue, but I don’t think Giannis signs off on that back then.

That’s the point. Giannis >>>>> AD.

Why would POR have wanted Middleton?

That wasn't the point. Reread his post.
