LeBron James suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee in the fourth quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers' Game 5 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves that eliminated them from the playoffs. The injury typically involves a three-to-five week recovery.

James briefly subbed out of the game to have his knee looked at by his longtime athletic trainer Mike Mancias. James played the remainder of the game. 

James would have been unable to play in Game 6 had the Lakers won Game 5 to extend the series. James averaged 25.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 40.7 minutes over the five-game series.

Always an excuse when he loses a series! Same crap when he lost to the golden state warriors.

I believe it. He's 40. He's playing hurt more often than not. His body can't handle all that physicality. Plus ad would've faired off better than Luka. Reaves was doing a great job at pg before the trade. Even with a center they'll struggle against certain matchups. To many ball handlers and they do it all in different ways. One has sacrifice every game.
