It would be "foolish" to count out of the New York Knicks in any potential trade discussions involving Giannis Antetokounmpo, according to Ian Begley of SNY.

Begley adds that had the Knicks season gone poorly, they would have made a strong push to trade for Antetokounmpo over the summer.

Antetokounmpo is reportedly open-minded about leaving the Bucks for the first time, though the team remains hopeful that he won't request a trade.

The Rockets have also registered interest in Antetokounmpo.

Knicks get:
Giannis

Bucks get:
KAT
Deuce
2026 1st rounder from Wash
2026 swap 1st round picks

Giannis fits more of the mold of the style of basketball Knicks play under Thibs. KAT/Lillard make a very competitive combo that keeps the fans happy. This could work!

Lillard is out for a year and will be rehabbing the following year. That's a lottery team and NOP owns their swap rights in both of those seasons. Zero chance that deal gets it done.

Try Giannis/Kuzma for KAT/Bridges +picks.

As tough as it would be to see Bridges go considering how helpful his defense has been in the playoffs, they still have an excellent defender in OG, an energy guy who could guard multiple positions in Hart, and they would be adding Giannis.. If I were the Knicks I would be tempted to say yes to that deal.
