Kings Could Make DeMar DeRozan Available On Trade Market

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue May 13, 2025 5:38 pm

The Sacramento Kings could evaluate their options on a DeMar DeRozan trade this offseason as Scott Perry assumes control of their front office. DeRozan was acquired by the previous regime on a three-year, $74 million sign-and-trade from the Chicago Bulls. DeRozan is signed through the 26-27 season and is represented by Aaron Goodwin.

DeRozan averaged 22.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists in his first season with the Kings as the team tried to extend the run of De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. Before the Kings traded Fox, DeRozan went on record indicating that a deal involving his fellow All-Star teammate could lead to him reconsidering his future with the franchise.

DeRozan could represent a cheaper alternative on the trade market for a win-now team than Kevin Durant not to mention Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Kings recouped some future draft capital with their trade of Fox to the San Antonio Spurs, but they are sending the No. 13 pick to the Atlanta Hawks to finalize the Kevin Huerter deal.

Of course he's available. Every player should be available at all times. What are we talking about?

Good idea, get the best point or big wing you can get for him. But damn, still can't get over the Huerter situation. Barely had ONE good season, now losing the 13th pick for him, smh.
