Tyrese Haliburton On Triple-Double In Game 4 Win: 'I Was Just Trying To Be Aggressive'

The Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks 130-121 in Game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead back to Madison Square Garden.

Tyrese Haliburton finished with a triple-double of 32 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds, while also recording zero turnovers.

Haliburton is the first player to have at least 30 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds in a playoff game without a turnover since the 1977-78 season.

"I was just trying to be aggressive," Haliburton said. "Just trying to play my best. I felt like I let the team down in Game 3. I could have been so much better. I felt like I responded the right way today."

Pascal Siakam added 30 points, with Bennedict Mathurin adding 20 points off the bench.

The Pacers shot 51% from the field in the game.

Rick Carlisle compared Haliburton's achievements to other former players.

"It's pretty remarkable, but this has become his thing," Carlisle said. "There will be a new statistical category, perhaps, named after him somewhere down the line.

"Him and Chris Paul, these guys, there aren't a lot of guys. I know [John] Stockton didn't turn it over much back when he played, LeBron James didn't turn it over very much. You can go right down the line, some of the all-time greats."

Game 5 takes place on Thursday.

Given he doesn’t have any significant injury throughout his career I honestly feel like Halliburton’s trajectory is heading for top 3 point guard all time. I’ll settle for top 5 but I can only think of curry and magic who’ve had better playoff success then him given how early it is in his career.

I watched the game in full...hell of a masterpiece of a game from Hali. It's been a pleasure watching the young man and the rest of the Pacers grow these past couple years to where they are now. Don't be surprised if they beat OKC because they are quite capable of doing so.

Curry in playoff? Curry hasn’t been exactly great in playoff

I agree but when it’s all said and done he got 4 rings on his hands so compared to a lot of the great point guards im sure dudes like Chris Paul and John Stockton would trade places with curry in a second
