The Phoenix Suns have acquired Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets for the No. 29 pick in the draft and a 2029 first round pick, which will be the least favorable of picks via the Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Suns had a significant need at center and have now traded for Williams while also selecting Khaman Maluach at No. 10 out of Duke.

The Hornets previously traded Williams to the Los Angeles Lakers, but the trade was eventually rescinded.

This shows lakers overpaid an unprotected 2031 pick and Dalton who was pick 14 i think. Here is pick 29 and likely to be something like that later.

wrong, once the Lakers backed out his market value dropped. You are comparing the same player but in different market conditions.

His contract is not guaranteed for next season. The Suns have to fully commit by June 30.
