Naz Reid has agreed to sign a five-year, $125 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Reid is declining his $15 million player option for the 2025-26 season to sign the new contract.

Reid, who is represented by Sean Kennedy, will have a player option in Year 5 as part of the new contract. Reid signed a three-year, $42 million contract in June 2023.

Reid averaged 14.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists last season after winning Sixth Man of the Year in 2024.

Minny betting against themselves? I would be shocked if someone told me Chicago was even offering $100M/5 years.

You're over 10k posts in... You have to know that you can edit posts, right.

Aside from that, I agree that Reid is a touch overrated in MIN because he's coming off the bench. But he would be a starter on most teams, so maybe this is a "more money to accept a lesser role" type situation. Or maybe this is a "We promise to trade Gobert by the deadline" type of deal. We'll see.

Well deserved for Naz. They will have to pay Randle too which will be quite an expensive front court.
