The Celtics don't make any sense. They are throwing everything overboard that isn't nailed down.

Rich Paul is already on the phone threatening every front office not to sign him, no player will ever sign with any team if they steal him from the Lakers

They're going to be on tv just because. He gets to be a main option. Bigger option means more stats. Doing well means a big contract, plus with that core... When Tatum returns after a year and ayton chooses to stay for less... They're ready to contend in a year. East is easier than West.

Yeah, he'll probably be announced as a Laker quite soon. If he can stay healthy, it would be a great addition for them.

Ayton would be a perfect fit for the LAKERS

He should of been the main option in Portland, who did they have as their main guy anyways?

If the Lakers get him, they might be able to contend, ngl.

On paper the Lakers look ideal, but will he be Dominayton or sulk when things aren't going his way. At this stage he'll be the 4th option on offence behind Luka, LeBron and Reaves. So will just be called upon to run pick n rolls, then can he be trusted to be the backbone of the defence.
I know no-one wants to take on salary at the moment, but surely the blazers could have got something in return. Even if they packaged a second rounder or 2 to the wizards for one of their plethora of expiring veterans.

This guy is 26 entering his prime, and the team decides to take the lost and buy him out. How bad could this guy be? He cant even get trade for a 2nd round pick? Really?

Per usual, Laker fans looking at names over games.

He is not a good fit there. Frankly Charlotte would be the best place for him to get his career back on track. Last thing he wants is his lazy ass being examined on ESPN every night.

I meant it doesn't make sense for BOS... and he wouldn't be the 1st option anywhere in the NBA.

No he should not have been. POR is in development mode and Ayton was never in their long term plans. They made the mistake of believing there would be a market for Ayton; there clearly was not.

You might not be lying, but you're probably wrong. The Lakers could contend with Lebron and Luka but it won't be because of Ayton. I mean, he's clearly a steal at the MLE, but the fact that he's been on the market for two straight seasons and POR had to buy him out to get rid of him should tell you something about where he's at. If POR thought there was any hope in trading him they would have kept him until the deadline. POR must have started the summer with 29 teams telling them they had zero interest in Ayton.
