The Los Angeles Lakers are not making any trade calls to gauge the potential value of Austin Reaves, a source told The Athletic. Reaves recently turned down a four-year, $89.2 million extension offer as he can make significantly more money during the 2026 offseason.

Reaves has some level of overlap with Luka Doncic and LeBron James despite his emergence as a fringe All-Star candidate last season. Reaves represents the Lakers' most valuable trade asset should they decide to rebalance their roster. Reaves, who is represented by Aaron Reilly, averaged 20.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists last season.

However, the Lakers appear poised to use their $14.1 million midlevel exception on a center with Brook Lopez, Clint Capela and Deandre Ayton identified as targets.
