Not a big fan for Brooklyn, only for value. Cam is 2yrs older, but healthier, MUCH cheaper and a bit better on both ends of the court.

Unless Jokic retires before 2032, this isn't enough value to the a Nets for this swap.

Definitely a steep price to get Cam but you gotta risk it for another biscuit. I think Cam will fit in well. I saw DEN brought back Bruce which was much needed. I'd imagine they will use some of the remaining money for a backup big.

MPJ shot .005% better from 3pt than Cam last season, and Cam had more 3PA's. That's pretty much a wash.

MPJ is one of the smoothest guys in the NBA. Hes just unreliable and a liability on defense.

Cam Johnson might be a tiny bit better but not a 2032 UP FRP different. In 6 years Denver will probably suck.

Should have went after KD. Cam Johnson couldn’t stay healthy last year..

Can you imagine what MPJr. must be thinking?

He just went from a team with a consistent MVP level player that makes everyone around him better to a Nets team that may roster 5 rookies. Bummer day at the office man.

That said, I understand the Nugs jumping at the chance to move off his salary without a big dip in production given the constraints of having the Joker and Murray on big salaries under the current CBA.

Porter has been healthy since giving up the vegan diet that nearly crippled him. He's played a couple full seasons in a row. Meanwhile, Johnson has missed big chunks of every season. Porter has a career 20 points per 36 on 50/40/80 splits, better than Johnson. Johnson had one season of big scoring as the main guy. Porter has never had the green light as the main scorer. This is Porter's chance to be that guy. Johnson is a great fit on paper, especially because of the defense. But you're downplaying Porter's value too much.

MPJ finished the season #1 in the NBA in individual defense. In terms of teams trying to attack him, he can hang. His attention to team assignment is in question though consistently

That pick is going to be valuable you would think, but this allows Denver to add more depth in free agency to capitalise on Jokic prime. Maybe a top 3 protection would have been nice.
They may have beaten OKC with a bit more depth this season. Nets were sitting Johnson to tank, expect his injuries to clear up now he's back on a good team.

He probably stoked! He had to play in a system with the Nuggets now he’ll have more freedom to jack up more shots and play like he did in High school and college. I wouldn’t be surprised if he average in the 20s for the Nets.

Cam Thomas and MPJ on the same squad? That's going to be fun.
