Giannis Antetokounmpo Says 'We'll See' On Remaining With Bucks

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jul 10, 2025 7:54 pm

Giannis Antetokounmpo spoke about his future with the Milwaukee Bucks during a YouTube livestream with iShowSpeed in which he was non-committal either way, which supports the reporting from ESPN's Shams Charania that the superstar is evaluating his options this offseason. The Bucks gambled on a future that continues to include Antetokounmpo when they decided to use the waive-and-stretch provision on Damian Lillard in order to sign Myles Turner in free agency.

"So you staying in Milwaukee?" asked iShowSpeed of Antetokounmpo.

"Uh, probably," replied Antetokounmpo. "We'll see.

The statement was analyzed by ESPN's Brian Windhorst on Thursday's episode of Get Up.

"The thing about it is, is that he didn't give a definitive answer," said Windhorst. "And I'm certainly not going to analyze something he said seaside in Greece. But what I will say is the 'we'll see.' That is essentially what there's about five or six NBA teams banking on: the 'we'll see.'

"And I know it sounds trivial, but for years Giannis was completely, completely locked in. Him saying "we'll see" backs up what Shams has been saying this entire summer, which is that he might be more open-minded than he was in the past. And I would say the same thing probably in Milwaukee, but we'll see. And now I can quote Giannis on that. Thank you very much."

If you asked me if I will stay married to my wife for the rest of my like, the most honest answer I can give is "probably". I intend to. I'm 21 years in and it's been great. Good times, bad times, we are together through all of it... but if she cheats on me, I'm gone! And if I cheat on her, she'll be gone. I "know" that won't happen, but most people think they know the same thing.

My point:
Giannis wants to stay in MIL forever. But he just spent two seasons with Dame, a player that promised his city he would never leave. And to Dame's credit, his stuck around through some tough times. He stuck around until POR drafted Scoot, a player who did not fit any need in POR other than to replace Dame. In his mind, they cheated on him and he was out.

So now reporters keep asking Giannis variations of the same question, a question where "probably" is the most honest answer he can give. As long as the questions keep coming he is going to continue to give variations of that same answer and we are going to continue to read variations on this same tired story.

Probably sounds like something a player might say while being aware that nothing is ever 100%.
Probable sounds like something a magic eight-ball might say.

High probability if she chests on you that you will never know.. it would take zero effort for her to do so

lol years ago, when my kids were 5 and 6 , they would ask my wife if they can have that dog that’s for sale. She would say “we’ll see” . I would laugh because that was her way of saying no but in a nice way lol.

She tried pulling that “we’ll see” with me and I was like wtf nope ….

Oh **** or get off the pot! Either you're in, or you're out. Pick one so everyone can move on.
