1) You are pointing out that the "dilution of talent" myth is just that, a myth. Truth, there is easily enough talent to create a few more rosters.
Agreed. There are more than enough guys playing in Europe, the G League, and elsewhere who could fill out 2 more 15 man rosters. Especially since some current quality players would get redistributed through an expansion draft anyway.

You could add ten more teams and Bones would still be at the end of some team's bench. He can't shoot, pass or defend. Every coach that is forced to use him, winces every time they send him to the scorer's table. If you wanted to make that argument with Keyonte George, De'Andre Hunter or Payton Pritchard, I'd hear you on that... but Bones Hyland?!

I have to disagree on Bones Hyland being terrible though. I'll reiterate once again that he's absolutely not a star, and never will be. But he's an ok shooter and an ok passer, and his defense has improved a bit over his career. So while he's still not great at anything, he's as good or better than plenty of players who are the 10th - 12th man on their teams. Which means he's a legit NBA quality player, and there's every reason he should be on a bench somewhere with a veteran's minimum contract. On some teams that would mean he only ever sees garbage time minutes. On other teams, who have a roster deficiency at guard, he'd see some legit minutes in the rotation.
But beyond that, I think you're misreading my intent. I'm not some huge Bones Hyland fan who thinks he's some kind of singular example of why expansion should happen. This article was about Hyland, so I used him as the example. George, Hunter, and Pritchard are all obviously better than him, and I certainly would have used them as examples if this same article had been written about them.
