Cam Thomas Signs Qualifying Offer To Return To Nets

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Sep 4, 2025 12:42 pm

Restricted free agent guard Cam Thomas will sign his qualifying offer to return to the Brooklyn Nets. Thomas and the Nets were unable to come to an agreement on a long-term deal. Thomas will instead sign his $5.99 million qualifying offer, which will be a one-year deal with Brooklyn. In the summer of 2026, Thomas will be an unrestricted free agent.

Because Thomas is signing a one-year deal and will have Bird rights following it, he'll have a full no-trade clause for this season. This is because the 6-foot-3 guard would lose his Bird rights if he was traded to another team.

Thomas appeared in 25 games last year, in an injury-ravaged season. The scoring guard averaged career-highs nearly across the board last season. Thomas averaged 24 points per game, to go along with 3.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
