Spencer Dinwiddie Waived By Hornets

Spencer Dinwiddie has been waived by the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte's roster now stands at 19 players. 


Dinwiddie originally signed with the Hornets on July 13, 2025 and has appeared in two preseason contests totaling six points in 30 minutes of play. 


Dinwiddie averaged 13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 27.7 minutes last season with the Dallas Mavericks.

Did he? Or did he average 11/2.6/4.4 in 27.0 MPG for DAL last season? The stats above are his career averages! :banghead:

I haven't really followed Dinwiddie, but it seems that he contributes everywhere he goes. I'm unsure why a young team like Charlotte would let him go. Oh, that's right, it's Charlotte :lol:

He gets stats everywhere he goes but he is a net negative. He is a capable offensive player with solid court vision, but he is a poor defender and a poor shooter that shoots too much.
