Grizzlies To Sign Charles Bassey To 10-Day Hardship Contract
The Memphis Grizzlies are planning to sign center Charles Bassey to a 10-Day hardship contract. Memphis has Brandon Clarke, Zach Edey, Ty Jerome and Scotty Pippen Jr. out with long-term injuries, making the eligible to sign a player via the hardship exception.
Bassey has played for four years in the NBA. He started his career with the Philadelphia 76ers, before spending the last three seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. Bassey went to training camp with the Atlanta Hawks this preseason.
In four NBA season, Bassey has appeared in 113 NBA games. The 6-foot-10 center has averaged 4.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game.
