His extension doesn’t kick-in until next season.

He played through the playoffs last year with wrist ligament damage.

The will and heart is there.

Definitely earned the right to rest after his injured run last year helped win them a title. He is only putting a half of a season's miles on his knees this year.

He missed 49 (!!!) games this season and they went 39-10.
