The Los Angeles Angels placed Eduardo Escobar on the restricted list just three days after he was acquired in a trade with the New York Mets.
Escobar is scheduled to take his United States citizenship test on Tuesday in Miami.
The 34-year-old is from Venezuela and now lives in Miami. The citizenship test was already in his plans before the Mets executed the trade.
\"It was really, really important to him, and I don\'t blame him,\" Perry Minasian said.
