The New York Mets aren\'t ready to waive the white flag on the 2023 season just yet.

The club enters Thursday at 45-50, more than 16 games back in the National League East. They sit seven games back of a Wild Card berth.

\"They are leaving room for a Hail Mary chance to work back toward contention,\" Joel Sherman wrote on Wednesday.
