The Tampa Bay Rays have been \"doing homework\" on a potential Marcus Stroman trade, according to a report.
Stroman has the ability to opt out of the final year of his three-year, $71 million contract with the Chicago Cubs after this season. He is expected to be dealt before the trade deadline.
Stroman has also been linked to the Toronto Blue Jays and Houston Astros.
