The scheduled press conference to formally announce Stephen Strasburg\'s retirement has been canceled.
The press conference was set for Saturday, Sept. 9 to honor his career and retire his #37.
According to a report, the development is because of a disagreement between Strasburg and the organization on the pitcher\'s contract. The club initially proposed that Strasburg would be paid in full before backtracking and seeking to change the terms of his retirement.
