Kevin Cash: Rays\' Quick Exit After 13-0 Start \'Frustrating\'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Oct 5, 2023 11:51 am

The Tampa Bay Rays started the season 13-0, but their postseason run lasted just two days as they were swept by the Texas Rangers.

The Rays occupied first place in the American League East from Opening Day through mid-July.

\"It\'s frustrating, but it\'s part of the game,\" manager Kevin Cash said.

Tampa Bay has lost a franchise-record seven straight postgame games.

\"We didn\'t expect to be out right now,\" Zach Eflin said. \"There\'s no easy way to say it sucks. I really didn\'t have any offseason plans until the first week of November and the second week of November. It\'s not a good feeling.\"

Much like basketball, the baseball playoffs cause teams to adjust their strategy. The Rays, as much as I like them, stick to the script no matter the situation.
“And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission.” -V
