Report: Dusty Baker Has Indicated Plan To Retire

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Oct 24, 2023 12:01 pm

Dusty Baker recently told people within and outside the organization that this would be his final season as manager of the Houston Astros, according to a report.

Baker, 74, hasn\'t publicly announced his decision. He declined to discuss his future after the Astros were eliminated by the Texas Rangers in Game 7 of the ALCS on Monday night.

He has managed the Astros for the past four seasons.

Unfortunately, yes...and some of his decisions this season were mind boggling/infuriating, but nothing but respect for the man and I'm glad he got to finally win it all last year.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

He was/is a legend. I hope he has a fulfilling retirement.
