Despite acquiring Chris Sale in a trade with the Boston Red Sox, the Atlanta Braves will pay just $500,000 of the pitcher\'s $27.5 million salary for the 2024 season, according to a report.
The Red Sox are paying $17 million of Sale\'s salary, while $10 million will be deferred until 2039.
Atlanta is currently projected to have a payroll of $240 million for next season.
