The Athletics haven\'t left Oakland for Las Vegas yet but they are already looking to play some home games in other markets.
According to the A\'s proposed 30-year non-relocation agreement, obtained by the Nevada Independent, the team is \"requesting to play up to eight home games a season away from the team\'s future $1.5 billion Las Vegas ballpark.\"
The Las Vegas Stadium Authority board is slated to vote on the arrangement on July 18.
The A\'s will call Sacramento home for three seasons before moving to Las Vegas for the 2028 season.
Athletics president Dave Kaval claims that the team wants to play neutral site home games in order to build the franchise\'s brand and to attract players and sponsors.
