Shohei Ohtani Becomes MLB\'s First 50/50 Player

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Sep 20, 2024 2:15 am

Shohei Ohtani became the first player in MLB history to reach the 50/50 club as he hit three home runs to go with two stolen bases in the Los Angeles Dodgers\' 20-4 win over the Miami Marlins.

\"It was something I wanted to get over as quickly as possible. And, you know, it\'s something that I\'m going to cherish for a very long time,\" Ohtani said through an interpreter.

Ohtani\'s three homers, six hits and 10 RBIs all set career highs as the Dodgers also clinched another playoff spot.

\"Obviously I changed teams this year and my goal has always been to make it to the playoffs,\" Ohtani said. \"It\'s something that I\'ve really worked hard [for] and I\'m really happy to make it, so now my goal is to be able to perform well in the playoff situations.\"

Absolutely amazing. What may be even more insane, is that Juan Soto is going to ask for Ohtani-like money
