The Atlanta Braves have hired Pete Putila in an assistant general manager role.
Putila will focus on operating the club\'s international scouting department, and he\'ll join Jason Pare and Ben Sestanovich as the third assistant GM under president of baseball operations Alex Anthopoulos.
Putila spent the previous two seasons as the general manager of the San Francisco Giants.
