Mets Lose For Ninth Time In Last 10 Games

For nearly two weeks, the New York Mets\' offense, besides one outburst, has been a problem. The alarming trend continued Monday night against the Atlanta Braves.

On a sweltering night at Citi Field, with the temperature at first pitch a balmy 87 degrees, the Mets\' bats remained frigid in a 3-2 loss. New York has dropped nine of 10 games and scored 19 total runs in those nine defeats.

This team is awful. People think that's an exaggeration. It's not. They can't beat anybody good, they have the same flaws they always have, nothing has changed. They still have a terrible bullpen and a starting rotation that is constantly on IL. They make some of the dumbest fielding errors imaginable. They strand so many runners they are probably on a historic pace now. I predict the Braves have a better record than us within 2 weeks. I can't see this getting any better.
