New York Yankees right-hander Hiroki Kuroda left Wednesday night's start against the Boston Red Sox after being hit in the hand with a ball.
Kuroda either tried to protect his head or field a line drive on the fly, taking the ball off his right finger tips.
He struggled to find the strike zone after the incident and was replaced in the top of the second inning.
