Blue Jays shortstop Jose Reyes suffered a left ankle injury that will cost him at least a month of action.
He will return in about four weeks if the ankle in merely sprained, but could miss up to three months if something more comes up in tests.
Reyes hurt the ankle in the sixth inning against the Kansas City Royals on Friday night when he couldn't decide whether to slide or go in standing up on a stolen-base attempt.
