The knuckleballer is 2-5 with a 5.06 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 48 innings. He sports a 1.35 WHIP and has walked 22 batters.
The problem may be that Dickey hasn't been throwing his "hard" knuckleball as often.
Dickey threw his knuckleball at 80 mph or higher 491 times last year, or 20 percent of his total pitches, according to research from ESPN Stats & Information.
Entering Thursday's game, he had thrown just 12 knuckleballs at 80-plus mph, or 2 percent of his total pitches.
