The Los Angeles Angels have Mike Trout, Josh Hamilton and Albert Pujols, but they have struggled so far this season.
Injuries have played a role, but general manager Jerry Dipoto conceded nobody could have expected the "titanic struggles" they've had.
The Angels are 12-22 and nine games back of the Texas Rangers in the American League West. They are closer to the last-place Houston Astros (2.5-game lead).
"I don't think it's fair to blame any single person," Dipoto said.
"We're not good right now. But when things go this bad, it's awfully hard to look at one area or one person and say, that's the cure. That's just not right."
