For the first time this season, Max Scherzer was the losing pitcher on Saturday.
Texas defeated Detroit 7-1 as Scherzer allowed four runs.
"I threw some good pitches, they hit it. I threw some bad pitches, they hit it even farther," said Scherzer, who is now 13-1. "It's a loss. That's what happens when you don't quite pitch as well."
