Jose Iglesias played third base in his first game as a member of the Detroit Tigers.
Acquired in a three-team deal on Wednesday, Iglesias is expected to replace Jhonny Peralta at shortstop once he is suspended in baseball's Biogenesis scandal.
Miguel Cabrera, Detroit's usual third baseman, is dealing with abdominal discomfort.
"I'm a natural shortstop, but as soon as I'm in the lineup, it doesn't matter where," Iglesias said. "I just want to help this team win, no matter what position. I'm a Detroit Tiger. I'm really happy to be here."
