Derek Jeter could be headed back to the disabled list pending the results of an MRI of his sore right calf.
Jeter has been unable to sustain a return to every-day duty since being reinstated to the roster on July 11 after two fractures of his left ankle.
Joe Girardi said he could not rule out Jeter's second trip to the DL in the last three weeks.
"I think it's always a possibility," Girardi said. "It's not what we want to do. My hope is I get him in the lineup tomorrow. But I wouldn't say its 100 percent no, he wouldn't go on it."
