Hanley Ramirez was in the starting lineup for the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday afternoon.
Joe Kelly is starting for the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 5 of the NLCS. Kelly broke one of Ramirez's ribs with a pitch in Game 1 of the series.
Ramirez struck out in all three of his at-bats on Tuesday night. He left the game in the seventh inning, later telling reporters he dealt with intense pain all day.
"I think everyone knows the importance of the game," Don Mattingly said. "He wants to be a part of it, feels like he can do something for us. So, he's in there."
