According to a New York Post report, Jay-Z met with officials from the New York Mets on Monday night to discuss free-agent Robinson Cano.
The meeting, held over dinner, included Mets chief operating officer Jeff Wilpon, general manager Sandy Alderson and assistant general manager John Ricco.
An agreement between Cano and the Mets still appears highly unlikely at this point.
The meeting was requested by Cano's people.
