Shelby Miller isn't sure why he pitched just a single inning for the St. Louis Cardinals in the postseason, but the rookie right-hander isn't dwelling on the issue.
"It's tough to not get to pitch in the postseason and stuff, but at the same time, we had a good thing going and it's hard to change it up," Miller said. "I don't really have a good answer for it to be honest. We were winning games, so you can't really complain."
Miller had a 15-9 record last year with a 3.06 ERA, but he pitched just one inning of relief against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NLDS. He allowed a home run and never appeared again.
"Physically, I felt amazing," he said. "I felt good. I didn't feel any better or worse than I did during the season."
