Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Bourn will miss several games because of a cut on his right index finger.

Bourn needed five stitches to close the wound.

He was injured in the eighth inning when his hand was stepped on by pitcher Matt Thornton while making a headfirst slide into first base against the Chicago White Sox.
