Blue Jays Nearly Acquired Peavy In October

The Toronto Blue Jays were close to acquiring Jake Peavy in a trade with the Chicago White Sox back in October.
According to multiple sources, talks on a trade fell apart when the right-hander agreed to a two-year, $29 million contract extension with Chicago.
Toronto general manager Alex Anthopoulos then pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Miami Marlins in November.
