Colorado Rockies right-hander Jhoulys Chacin was scheduled to undergo an MRI to try to determine the severity of a back injury.

The issue brought an abrupt end to an impressive outing Friday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Chacin said the injury felt similar to a lower back strain he sustained while weight lifting during spring training.
