Selig Rejected Five-Year Extension

Bud Selig is serious about stepping down as Major League Baseball's commissioner at the end of next year.
According to two sources, Selig was offered a five-year extension when he signed the two-year deal a year ago, and without hesitation he took the two instead.
“I really am," Selig said about retiring. "I know the owners are having a tough time with it … (But) I am serious."
