Jack Zduriencik may be running out of time as the general manager of the Seattle Mariners.
Seattle is 9-15 this season. They were expected to improve on their 75 wins in 2012.
The sample size is small, but the Mariners are once again last in runs scored in the American League. The team has held down that position in each of Zduriencik's four seasons.

Justin Smoak and Dustin Ackley are to blame here.

Ackley's bat is finally showing signs of life, but moving on from Smoak has been long overdue. No power and poor pitch recognition is a lousy combination for a would-be slugger.

Hey Sweezo, just curious (big Morales fan here, hated that we traded him for Vargas), but is the reason he's not playing much first base because of all these chances they are giving Smoak, or is Morales still not healthy enough to play every day at the position? Kendrys had an awesome glove before he got injured when he was with the Angels.

Smoak's not a bad defensive 1B and Kendrys looks a little sluggish out there.
