Nationals Activate Zimmerman, Sent Rendon Down

The Washington Nationals have activated Ryan Zimmerman off the disabled list for Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Washington optioned fellow third baseman Anthony Rendon to Double-A Harrisburg.
Zimmerman has been sidelined since April 19 with a left hamstring strain.
Rendon, 22, hit .240 (6-for-25) with one RBI in eight games with the Nationals after making his Major League debut on April 21.
