Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez took the field to play catch and hit off a tee on Monday.

It marked the first time he was on the field since surgery on his left hip almost four months ago.

Rodriguez said it's "like being 8 years old again when I first grabbed a bat."

He added that it's "pretty exciting" and he's "really looking forward to getting back."
