The Boston Red Sox lost three straight to the Minnesota Twins at home this week after winning the series opener on Monday night.
They began the series with a 1.5 game lead in the American League East, but are now percentage points behind the New York Yankees and tied with the Baltimore Orioles.
It's the first time this season that Boston hasn't been in first place.
"I don't think anybody is worried about the last seven games," Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia said. "It is the big leagues and everybody is good."
The Red Sox have just one win in their last seven contests.
