The Mets are nearing an agreement with Dominic Smith, their first-round pick in last week's draft.

Baseball America has a list of the assigned pick values for the first 10 rounds of the draft, which has Smith's No. 11 slot listed at $2,840,300.

Smith is a high school first baseman out of California.
