Pirates Release Jose Contreras

The Pirates have released Jose Contreras, who signed with the club this offseason as he worked his way back from Tommy John surgery.
Contreras struggled to get big league hitters out upon arriving in Pittsburgh. He surrendered five runs in just five innings, allowing seven hits and six walks.
