Red Sox Promote Bogaerts To Triple-A

The Red Sox have promoted Xander Bogaerts to Triple-A Pawtucket.
Bogaerts was hitting .311 with a .407 OBP and .502 slugging mark at Double-A Portland.
Jose Iglesias has played shortstop well in Boston, but there was a void at the position at the Triple-A level.
Bogaerts is the first Eastern League player at age 20 or younger to have a slash line of .300/.400/.500 since 1999.
