The Yankees have placed David Phelps on the disabled list with a slightly strained right forearm.
Eduardo Nunez has been activated off the disabled list for Saturday's game against Baltimore.
"We just felt it was in our best interest," Joe Girardi said. "There was discussion of him just skipping him a start. Instead, just putting him on the DL, seeing that we have the All-Star break on our side. Making sure that he's healthy."
